Arenal Volcano to El Castillo - Half Day Mountain Bike Tour

Tour details

This route takes us along an old path that connects the Arenal Dam with the main entrance to the Arenal National Park. From there we continue to the small town of Castillo by a path surrounded by dense forest and some cattle farms. Howler monkeys, coatis and a wide variety of birds can often be seen. We will stop for a snack on the shores of Lake Arenal where anyone who wishes can swim. Throughout the tour it is possible to admire the beauty of the imposing Arenal Volcano.

Altitude: +291 MSNM / -291 MSNM
Difficulty: Beginners and intermediates
Terrain: Secondary gravel and sand road with some sections with stone. Flat with small slopes.
Two daily departures: 8 am and 1 pm from La Fortuna
Return: 12 noon or 5 pm
